The Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC) aims to facilitate healthcare establishments (HCEs) in improving the quality of healthcare service delivery for the people of Punjab. For this purpose, the PHC collects information about HCEs. Modes of acquiring information include, but are not limited to, data provided by HCEs at the time of registration or application for a license, information updated through the PHC web portal and information accompanying the registration of a complaint through the PHC website. The PHC understands the confidential nature of this information and is committed to keep the aforesaid information private and safe. This Privacy Policy has been developed in order to demonstrate the Commission’s firm commitment to the online privacy of those that use its web services and to the security of the information they provide.
The PHC website is equipped with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology, which enables secure transfer of the data sent by users to PHC servers. Furthermore, PHC servers are equipped with state of the art network security solutions to protect online data from intruders, malwares or any unauthorized access. Though all standard security measures have been taken, the PHC does not warrant or represent that the information you submit to the PHC website will be protected against loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties e.g. viruses, hackers, etc.
The PHC shall use the collected information for official purposes only. The PHC does not provide any information to any outside organization for any reason other than where it may be required by law. The PHC does not use or share your information for commercial purposes. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in official matters, including conducting our business or servicing us, as long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential.
Please note that when accessing a PHC service requiring a username and password, the user is responsible for keeping this information strictly confidential. In case the user feels that the privacy of his/her online PHC account has been compromised, he/she is required to immediately report to the PHC, which may deactivate the account and/or change login details.
As per the internal access control policy, only authorized PHC personnel are permitted to access information received through the website. All PHC employees are bound to abide by the privacy policy and those who violate it are subject to disciplinary action.
