What is the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC)?

The Punjab Healthcare Commission is an independent health regulatory body established after the promulgation of the PHC Act 2010 to improve the quality of healthcare services in Punjab.

What is its function?

The PHC has the mandate to standardize healthcare service delivery through licensing and implementation of Minimum Service Delivery Standards. Another important function of the Commission in connection with improving quality of healthcare services in Punjab is to investigate into cases of complaints regarding maladministration, malpractice, medical negligence and to refer the guilty to relevant authorities for appropriate disciplinary actions.

Does PHC operate only in Punjab?

The Jurisdiction of the PHC as provided Under PHC Act 2010 is limited to the province of Punjab.

Yes, you do need to send separate application for each position.

Is employment with the PHC on a permanent basis?

No, all the employment with the PHC is on contractual basis. PHC offers a maximum of 2 years employment contract which is extendable on the basis of performance of the employee.
