Technical Advisory Committee
An Advisory body to the Punjab Healthcare Commission
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is an advisory body through which key stakeholders are engaged with the work of the Commission to advise, facilitate and offer assistance on any matter referred to it by the Commission. TAC also acts as an advocacy arm for the Commission, engaging with stakeholders to promote and contribute towards development and sustainability of the work of the Commission.
According to Section 10 (1) of the PHC Act 2010, the Board has constituted a Technical Advisory Committee consisting of members from the following:-
  • Pakistan Medical and Dental Council
  • College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan
  • Pakistan Nursing Council
  • Pharmacy Council of Pakistan
  • Federal Mental Health Authority
  • Council for Homeopathy
  • Council for Tibb
  • Auditor General of Pakistan
  • University of Health Sciences, Lahore
  • Punjab Medical Faculty, Lahore.
  • King Edward Medical University, Lahore
  • Pakistan Medical Association
  • Government from amongst the young doctors
  • One representative of the Government
  • One member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab to be nominated by the Speaker of the Assembly
  • One representative each of the six District Governments selected by the Government for one year on non‐recurring basis
  • One person each to be nominated by the Government from the private healthcare establishments
  • Five experts in healthcare services to be nominated by the convener of the Technical Advisory Committee in consultation with the Chairperson
  • Two international health experts to be nominated by the Government
